Delete your AERSŌMA account.

How to delete it

1. Open the AERSŌMA app and go to Profile.
2. Open Account.
3. Choose Delete account, tick the box confirming you understand it cannot be undone, and confirm.

The account and its data are removed at that moment. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it, so if you only want to stop notifications or stop crash reports, do that in Settings instead and keep your account.

If you cannot open the app

Write to support@aersoma.com from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the request and delete the account for you. If we cannot tell that the request comes from the account holder, we will ask you to confirm before deleting anything.

What is deleted

Deleting the account permanently removes:

• your profile, handle and settings
• the patterns and protocols you created
• your practice history and programme progress
• your favourites
• your friends and other social connections
• your breath-hold calibration measurements
• your notification registrations and preferences

Lobby chat is never written to our database in the first place, so there is nothing there to delete. Live presence, which exists only while you are breathing, clears shortly after you stop.

What is kept, and for how long

A few records outlive the account, and we would rather say so plainly than let you find out later:

• Moderation records. If content of yours was reported, a copy of that content is kept as part of the report even after the account is deleted. Otherwise deleting an account would erase the evidence against it.
• Subscription and store records. Kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep records of a sale.
• Crash diagnostics. Kept for a limited period by our diagnostics provider, and not linked to your account.
• Global Rhythm participation. Counted in a rolling 24-hour window and dropped after it.

Deleting some of your data, without deleting the account

You do not have to give up the account to remove something from it. Each of these is done in the app and takes effect immediately:

• A pattern or protocol you built. Library, then Builder, open the one you made, then Delete.
• A favourite. Tap the filled heart on the pattern to unsave it.
• A friend, or someone you would rather not hear from. Profile, then Friends, then Remove or Block.
• Notifications and crash reports. Settings. Turning off crash reports stops the diagnostics described in the policy; signing out removes the push token for that device.

Breath-hold calibration measurements cannot be removed from inside the app today. Ask us at support@aersoma.com from the address on the account and we will delete them; deleting the account removes them as well. The same goes for anything else on this list that you cannot reach yourself.

The device is separate

Deleting your account does not reset an AERSŌMA device, because the device never talks to our servers. Decommission it separately from Device settings in the app before you delete the account, or the device will keep running whatever was last loaded onto it.
